Customers who desire a more concealed appearance and more centralized air distribution can choose the ACIQ-12CC-HH-MB ceiling cassette air handler from ACiQ. Ceiling cassette air handlers come with a hand-held remote control and offer the same high-efficiency heating and cooling as a typical wall-mounted unit. The ceiling cassette has the most subtle appearance when it is put in the ceiling, leaving only the grille exposed.

Installation Considerations:
Because Ceiling Cassettes are flush-mounted, it is necessary to remove sufficient ceiling material to make room for the unit. These units can be placed between 24 on-center joists, but they cannot be placed between 16 on-center joists without changing the framing's construction. Additionally, Ceiling Cassettes include onboard pumps that are factory installed to remove condensation the cooling unit produces. The condensation can be raised by the pump up to 14. The condensation must then be directed toward a secure wastewater destination by building a PVC drain system. The wiring connections and refrigerant are the same as for wall-mounted devices.
